Michael Grayum


For nearly two decades, Michael Grayum has served in leadership positions establishing and achieving policy goals and driving positive change through adaptive organizational management, government relations, strategic communications, and forging strong public/private partnerships. Michael is passionate about creating community-centered solutions and has extensive experience leading organizations to operational and financial success.

Career highlights include:

  • Executive Manager for state agencies focused on economic development, natural resource management and environmental sustainability

  • Director of Government Relations

  • City Administrator

  • Mayor

  • City Councilmember 

  • Commissioner, appointed by Governors Locke, Gregoire, and Inslee, to champion AmeriCorps national and community service programs

Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Evans School at the University of Washington.
